Evaluation and Adaptation

Keys to Long-Term Success

Ongoing evaluation and adaptation are essential for the longevity and success of programs.

It’s an often-quoted trope in the Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector: “There is no time lost in reconnaissance”.

You may not have heard it in such words but if you have been engaged in the community for any amount of time, you will have read about or spoken to someone about the need to pause and evaluate.

Another set of wise words might suggest we “measure twice and cut once’.

The charity Right at Home in Bristol exemplifies this by regularly assessing participant feedback and adjusting its services to better meet the needs of the elderly community.

This responsiveness ensures that the program remains relevant and effective.

If you have success, you, your group, charity or organisation would like to share – we would love to hear from you!
