What we believe

There is value in truth. There is value in dialogue. Both of these principles should be prioritised when talking about trying to understand and solve issues which affect marginalised or excluded people in our society.

Our mission

Our mission is to highlight issues that people face in our society.

The main aim is to share real stories, the real stories originating from real people.

We have seen many times how people in the media adjusted truth for people’s own gain.

The tagline at the top of the logo is “hear the truth,” and we will always adhere to it.

People are always welcome to contact us if they want to share their tale, but they must be based on the truth.

Future aims

We would like to reach a broader audience.

We are all about helping to get people’s voices heard, and that means we need to position ourselves in a place where people want to listen.

We want to travel to record stories of good work up and down the country.

As we currently have no funding, we cannot go to the next step: to go around the country, we can continue to share what is happening across our land.

If anyone can help, contact the founder at iankalman@gmx.com.

Who we work with

As part of our guest show we actively invite a wide range of interesting people who are involved in some aspect of social change or social justice.

The issues we cover are diverse, ranging from housing, homelessness, child or domestic abuse, and social policy to spotlighting different agencies involved in discussing some of the most pressing social issues.

These people either come from lived experience or those working in the area, as we recognise that knowledge comes from peoples experiences. We provide the place for people to share their tale. We are there to listen and learn.

Listening to the experts

With a commitment to inclusiveness and diversity, we actively engage with those who have a ‘lived experience’, recognizing that they are the experts in their lives and communities.

We also work with those who have a wealth of knowledge because of the work they do and we are the first to say we don’t know everything.

We are keen and ready to listen and learn.

How to follow us

The best way to keep up to date with what is happening is to join our mailing list.

We have a two tier system of the mailing list, The first tier is free, with that you are informed of each episode the day before it goes public, I always put some more information in the email with the link plus once a month you will receive a newsletter.

The second tier is being worked on but it will be a subscription version.

I want to state now the first tier will always be free, of course if you can make a donation I will not refuse it.

Everything starts small

Our biggest issue is funding – at the moment, our work is funded by our founder’s pension, which pays for essential equipment, wifi and supcriptions which allow us to upload our content.

We could use some small-scale capacity building and support.

Maybe you can help with that?
