Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the provision of consultancy services under the Diagnostics service provided by Lloyd Hobbard-Mitchell trading as Small Change Revolution (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using our Diagnostics service, you (“client”, “you”, “your”) agree to these Terms.

2. Service Description

Diagnostics is a consultation service designed to address immediate or urgent issues through brainstorming and identifying potential solutions.

The areas we may cover include, but this list is not exhaustive:

  • Getting the Mission Right: Creating your Vision and Mission, Identifying Strategic Goals
  • Networking and Relationships: Listening to the Lived Experience, Identifying Stakeholders, Getting a Patron, Engaging Your Local Community
  • Consultancy Services: Strategic Planning, Fundraising Strategies, Impact Measurement, Governance and Compliance, Board Development and Relationships
  • Grant Writing and Applications: Proposal Development, Grant Research, Application Review, Reporting and Compliance
  • Marketing and Communications: Social Media Management, Branding and Identity, Campaign Development, Content Creation
  • Project Management: Planning and Implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, Risk Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Working with Volunteers, Working with a Board of Trustees

3. Process

The Diagnostics process consists of the following steps:

  1. Book a diagnostic slot for a 40-minute consultation session.
  2. Use the link in the confirmation email to complete the online form detailing your needs and providing information about the relevant who, what, where, when, why, and how.
  3. Email any supporting documents necessary for Lloyd to understand your issue.

Before the session, we might email you with some questions resulting from the information you have already given us to better understand the context or complete any gaps.

During the session.

  1. You may be asked to investigate further if there is any information that might shed additional light on the issue/s.
  2. You may be asked what solutions you are considering or what challenges or constraints you are working with that could prevent that outcome.
  3. You may be challenged in ways that help you think about other less obvious options.
  4. If there are any immediate outcomes from within the session, you will be asked to confirm if these are achievable.

After the session.

  1. You will be emailed a summary of the session, confirmation of the salient points discussed, and any agreed-upon action points.
  2. You will be sent an evaluation form, which you are kindly asked to complete to help us improve our service.

4. Payment

All sessions must be paid for in full before the meeting takes place. Payments are non-refundable, except in cases where we are unable to deliver the service as agreed.

5. Service Delivery

LHM Consulting, represented by Lloyd Hobbard-Mitchell, offers support and insight based on 30 years of experience in the voluntary sector in both the UK and Asia.

  • Complexity and Outcomes: It is unlikely that your issue will be resolved in one session. However, you will receive actionable steps to address it.
  • Nature of Sessions: Sessions include anecdotes, coaching, information, advice, guidance, signposting and referral.
  • Follow-up: After each session, a follow-up email will be sent, which may include homework for the next session with agreed-upon objectives for you to complete.

6. Limitations

  • Expertise: If Lloyd is not the expert in the field of your inquiry, he will endeavour to identify other experts with whom you can connect. This signposting and referral are core parts of the service. For this to happen, Lloyd requests your emailed consent to discuss the ‘issues’ of your case with a third party before advising you to connect.
  • No Legal or Financial Advice: Lloyd does not provide legal or financial advice and in all cases requiring will advise you liaise with your qualified legal or financial adviser.

7. Confidentiality

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. All information shared during the consultation will be kept confidential unless you provide explicit permission to disclose it. The exceptions to this is about safeguarding or where information related to a crime has been shared.

8. Liability

  • No Guarantees: We do not guarantee that the solutions provided will completely resolve your issues. The success of the consultancy is dependent on various factors, including your implementation of the advice.
  • Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any damages arising out of or in connection with the Diagnostics service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

9. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will become effective immediately upon posting. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
